Aim and Scope

Every individual's perception of objects and events around them, their evaluation, interpretation and meaning of them are undoubtedly different. This situation is even more evident among individuals who learn differently.

So, what do we mean by the term "different learner?" There are multiple answers to this question:

● Individuals with learning difficulties; those affected by conditions such as dyslexia, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and those requiring special education support

● Individuals who have difficulty learning through traditional education methods and who require different approaches

● Individuals with different learning styles

When the issue is associated with the Sustainable Development Goals, it is inevitable to reach the following three critical concepts: “Healthy individuals”, “reducing inequalities” and “quality education”.

The International Hisarlı Ahmet Symposium is addressing the theme of “Diverse Learners” in its 15th year.

Just like Hisarlı Ahmet’s musical life that began with amaster-apprentic relationship, we expect the participation and contributions of valuable scientists/artists in this process that extends from traditional to contemporary learning methods.
